Gavin customizes his classes to suit the needs and abilities of each student. He adapts his teaching methods based on students' preferences and learning styles, striving to make the information he teaches relevant to them.
Gavin graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. degree in Human Biology. He has 1 year of experience tutoring Mathematics to secondary students and English to local primary students, as well as secondary students preparing for the HKDSE.
Gavin is currently available to teach the following subjects:
- SAT
- Mathematics (I/GCSE & IB)
- Physics (I/GCSE)
- Biology (I/GCSE)
Gavin customizes his classes to suit the needs and abilities of each student. He adapts his teaching methods based on students’ preferences and learning styles, striving to make the information he teaches relevant to them. For example, if a student enjoys playing football, he may provide examples that incorporate football as the subject matter.
Having been tutored in Mathematics, Physics, and other subjects, Gavin understands the perspective of the tutee. His experiences being tutored have given him a better idea of which teaching styles have benefited him the most, and he applies that knowledge when tutoring students.
Gavin enjoys exercising, going to the gym, hiking, playing tennis, and drawing. He also hopes to spend more time reading and cooking.
