Alex aims to deliver knowledge lively by uncovering the mask of complicated theories with down to earth examples.
Alex received his B.Sc in Economics with first-class honours from University College London (UCL). Besides specialising in quantitative economics and econometrics, he has a profound understanding in the field of statistical analysis and mathematical modelling.
He has comprehensive experience in teaching GCE Economics, Maths and Further Maths in Hong Kong.
Alex is a financial economist interested in econometric research in finance, particularly in asset pricing and the stock market of the US. With his expert knowledge in both economics and business management, he is co-developing the models that accommodate the macro-environmental and company-specific factors to analyse constituent stocks of the S&P 500.
Apart from being an economist, Alex is also a lover of Maths. He took almost all available maths modules in his sixth form studies and the advanced courses offered by Dept. of Maths/Stat during his studies in UCL. He believes maths is an essential cornerstone for entering the professional fields in our future world which are shaped by Machine Learning.
Alex’s qualifications make him a good teacher for the type of student that is either/both interested in challenging the advanced concepts or/and looking for unique and powerful strategies to overcome the brutal exam to obtain a place at their desired universities.
