Wilson Wan

Wilson uses examples when teaching math and economics in a way that explains real world phenomena.

Wilson earned his BSc in Economics and Finance, minor in Mathematics from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is currently a PHD candidate at the same university.

With 6 years of teaching experience, Wilson has taught:

  • Microeconomic Theory
  • Econometrics
  • IB Economics
  • AP Economics
  • HKDSE Economics

Wilson uses economic theory to explain many real world topics, as well as some more casual applications such as why it can be difficult for students to find love in college or university. Aside from academics, he enjoys playing soccer and is now a coach of a soccer team comprised of only his previous students. Moreover, he is currently the captain of HKUST Economics Students’ Society football team.

Wilson’s experience makes him a good teacher for the type of student that wants to explore the interests of learning.
